      THE KIND OF GARDEN WE WOULD WANT,
      ALSO A COURTYARD

      A pond square. Two thin bridges across it.

      No, not a square, a rectangle. So one bridge is longer than the other.

      Here you stand in the middle and wonder how even your radius is

      —there is no radius, this is not a circle.

      The only garden you want, says Lucia, is a tent around yourself.
